S.M.A.R.T. attribute data
S.M.A.R.T. attribute data appears when you select a device in the main window and click the
More button.
S.M.A.R.T. attribute data provided by Cropel Hard Drive Diagnostic software includes the following:
- Attribute ID and its name.
- Value - the last known normalized attribute value. The higher the value, the better.
- Worst - the worst normalized value for the lifetime of a device.
- Threshold - a minimum allowed normalized value for an attribute, as set by a device vendor.
- Raw - the last known attribute value shown in hexadecimal. Generally, Raw values don't have standard interpretations.

Failure predictions - can be one of the following:
- No problem,
- Not available - is displayed for the attribute IDs 190, 191 and 194
(temperatures and G-sense error) and for those attributes for which it was impossible to get a prediction
(e.g. due to a network problem).
- Imminent as an indication of imminent failure or an estimated time to a failure.
When you select an attribute from the list, a chart with recorded attribute values, according to Cropel Hard Drive Diagnostic software
database, is displayed.
Charts can be one of the following types:
- a history chart- S.M.A.R.T. attribute values are displayed as a function of time;
- a frequency chart - S.M.A.R.T. attribute values are displayed
according to frequency of occurrence of a value. Such a chart is available only for some attributes, e.g.
for the attributes with ID 190 and 194 (temperatures).
